Family Culture
When Kiley Hyslope became Allegiance Title’s Marketing Specialist in June 2023, she was launching a new career path in an industry that inspired her. Kiley’s decision to join Allegiance was also part of the continuation of the family-driven culture Allegiance Title has always represented. By joining the company, Kiley was following in the footsteps of her mother, Michelle Leach, who has been an escrow closer at Allegiance Title for five years.
“Allegiance is non-corporate. It's a family-driven company, and that's something I was looking for out of college rather than the corporate route,” Kiley shares. “The culture here is that everyone works together well. Many people on our team have been here a long time. It’s a tight-knit group of people. If someone is down, someone else picks them up. We are all here together.”
As Kiley settles into her marketing role, she’s embodying the culture of collaboration that owners Curt and Lindsay Hendrix have nurtured since the company’s founding 15 years ago.
Building a Foundation
2008 was one of the most challenging times in real estate history. With the economy in freefall, real estate took the brunt of the blow. The sector’s tumble affected everyone from homeowners to REALTORS® to title companies, but that didn’t stop Curt and Lindsay Hendrix from founding Allegiance Title that same year. While the economy was struggling, they felt the time was still right to launch their own project.
“I had worked in title before, and Lindsay had, too,” Curt reflects. “2008 and 2009, those were tough times in real estate — really tough times. The first year or two were difficult. There were days and weeks where things felt dicey, but we held together, had some really good people working with us, and came out of that downturn stronger together. I loved the business. It’s what I wanted to do. I was confident enough in myself and in Lindsay that we could get through the tough times and come out on the other side.”
Curt and Lindsay did, in fact, come out of the downturn successfully. In the decade-plus since, Allegiance Title has grown into one of Oklahoma’s most well-respected brands.
Built for the Community
Curt, Lindsay, Kiley, and the entire Allegiance Title team understand the importance of their role in a real estate transaction. That’s why they prioritize communication and the client experience in everything they do.
“REALTORS® have told me that the one thing they look for in a title company is communication,” Kiley explains. “That's also the thing they've had past troubles with when working with other companies. Here at Allegiance, we pride ourselves on communication. That's the number one thing we hone in on, especially with agents.”
Allegiance Title’s family environment is also a benefit to their clients and partners. With such a strong team, agents and clients get a cohesive experience from first contact to the closing table — and beyond.
“We make sure our agents are taken care of. Our goal is that they are always pleased with our business and never leave us,” Kiley continues.
Taking Allegiance Into the Future
As Kiley, Curt, and Lindsay look ahead, they envision many more years of growth and success in the Oklahoma market. For now, Kiley is focused on getting out in the market, connecting with partners, and making sure they are served well.
“As far as the company, we're going to do nothing more than grow and succeed. I enjoy meeting people, and I really enjoy the closings. It's one of the few industries where 99% of the time, people walk out of your office happy and excited. We’re a family first, friend first company, and that’s how we’ll always be.”
Staying Motivated
Outside work, you’ll find Kiley at the gym or taking her Aussiedoodle for a walk. “I not only like to better myself here at work but outside work, too.”
