SO MUCH TO DO, SO LITTLE TIME

While many of us recognize the positive impact that health and fitness can have on our mental and physical health, it can often be difficult to fit these good practices into our increasingly hectic schedules. Chris and Sally Cannizzaro, owners of The Exercise Coach® in South Tulsa, wrestled with this very issue for years.

The Cannizzaros had been drawn to the idea of franchising for many years but believed that it was important to affiliate themselves with a franchise that truly aligned with the passions and interests they held as a family. Once they felt that their financial foundation was ready for this new adventure, they began their search.

“We had always recognized the benefits of exercise on our mental and physical health, and tried, with moderate success, to maintain those regimens as we grew in our careers and became the parents of two boys. After that,” Chris continued, “it definitely became much more difficult to find time to work out and eat healthy, even with some gym equipment at home.”

SOLVING A PROBLEM WITH EXERBOTICS®

The Cannizzaros were intrigued by The Exercise Coach® franchise because it solved a number of recurring problems in their day-to-day lives that could not be solved at the gym or with a traditional personal trainer: not having enough hours in the day to accomplish everything they needed to, accommodating injuries and health issues that hinder traditional workouts, and meeting us where we’re at on our fitness journey whether that’s as a former athlete or a brand new fitness enthusiast.

Because time is precious, one particular aspect of the franchise’s program model really caught their attention. The Exercise Coach® utilizes Exerbotics® machines, which allows each of its clients to meet their unique exercise needs in just 20 minutes, twice per week. While this may seem too good to be true, the Exerbotics® testing process analyzes the baseline muscle condition of each and every customer and then generates ideal personal strength recommendations for the coach and client to follow, allowing each client to reach their personal goals.

Chris and Sally believe that The Exercise Coach® is unique because their clients are able to get the same results in 40 minutes per week that others are getting by spending hours each week with a personal trainer. “Our technology and approach to a safe, effective, and efficient workout that still gets the results that matter most are what really sets us apart. You won’t find a more convenient or well-rounded workout paired with nutritional guidance that keeps you strong and healthy at any age,” Chris told us.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE BUSINESS

Chris grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School before attending college in Springfield, MO, where he met Sally. After college, the two of them moved to Minneapolis, MN, for a few years for work purposes but were ultimately drawn back to Tulsa for Sally’s career as a middle school teacher. Tulsa seemed to be the perfect place for them to build a home and a family, which has remained true for the last 16 years.

Chris and Sally Cannizzaro are the proud parents of two sons, twelve-year-old Caiden and five-year-old Aaric. “Having kids has shaped us more than we ever thought beforehand.

They demand so much from you in the way of new skills that you learn on the fly, but also teach you so much about things you may have forgotten along the way. Their impression on our lives is indelible and unavoidable, and we wouldn’t trade it for the world,” Chris said.

As a family, the Cannizzaros enjoy spending their time learning new things, seeing new places, and prioritizing fitness and health all while still enjoying life's indulgences.
