PARTNER SPOTLIGHT

After 28 years in the title business, Robyn Bell enjoys her work just as much as she did on day one. Robyn has held various roles throughout her career, rising from her beginnings as an administrative staff member to become the Business Development Director for Apex Title & Closing Services. But it’s not the titles or accolades that define Robyn’s career; it’s the relationships she’s built and nurtured.

“What keeps me here is the people, the relationships. That’s what this business is all about,” Robyn shares.

Robyn spends her days interacting with real estate agents and other partners, ensuring her clients have the best possible experience at the closing table.

“I get to help experienced agents and brand new REALTORS® straight out of school. The most enjoyable part of this business, for me, is watching them succeed. I love helping them implement sales strategies and ways they can grow their business, but most importantly, getting them to the end result, the closing table, which is the most rewarding part,” Robyn explains.

Real Estate Roots

Real estate has been a part of Robyn’s life for as long as she can remember. Her family’s real estate legacy dates back over 70 years, when her grandmother, who owned a brokerage, started her real estate career.

“I remember being six years old, sitting at the closing table,” Robyn says. “Within my family, we have over 200 years in the real estate industry.”

Robyn knew she wanted to be a part of the real estate industry, so when a door opened at a title company to become the receptionist, she jumped at the opportunity, earning herself a stable position in what can be a volatile industry.

Since beginning her career nearly three decades ago, Robyn has held varying roles. Most recently, she joined Apex Title & Closing Services as their Business Development Director in 2017.

“This business is all I know,” Robyn continues. “I love being able to help people. I love the relationships I’m able to build in this business. Technology changes, people change companies, but it’s the relationships that build trust and longevity. When I was approached by Apex with the opportunity and the vision [owner] Damon Bedell had to grow his company, I knew this was where I was supposed to be. Coming to Apex, I had the opportunity to help open offices and build relationships in other markets. It’s been the best ride ever.”

Leaving Her Mark

Outside work, Robyn enjoys being with her three children, Alexis (32), Corbin (27), and Will (16), and her four grandchildren, who all live locally. She considers herself a country girl through and through. When Robyn is not in heels, she is in cowboy boots, spending time watching her children rodeo and raise livestock.

“At my house, we have cowboy boots on, but we make sure there's lipstick, too,” Robyn says with a laugh.

Robyn prides herself on her toughness, especially as a single mom. She has always tried to teach her children that no matter what happens in life, their response is what matters most. Whether she’s networking with real estate agents or spending time with her family, Robyn puts relationships at the top of her list of priorities.

“My attitude toward life is ‘Don’t tell me I can’t because I'll show you I will,’” Robyn smiles. “The real estate industry is changing, but this is what I'll do until they put me in the grave, and I am not done living! I also remember that I didn't get where I am today alone.”
