Finding His Passion
There's an old joke that goes something like, "I'm not from Oklahoma, but I got here as soon as I could!" Well, Caleb Branham didn't start out in the real estate business, but he got there as soon as possible!
Initially, real estate wasn't in the plan. But after studying to become a special education teacher and spending five years in retail banking, Caleb finally found his calling in 2015: real estate. In his final year of banking, Caleb decided to buy his first home. "I got lucky by finding a real estate agent at random, and, little did I know, it would turn into a passion. About a year after purchasing my first home, I got curious about real estate, and I wrote down 25 questions I wanted to know about what being a real estate agent was like. I met with my real estate agent and her broker about a week later. I was hooked," he reflects.
Before long, Caleb enrolled in Real Estate School and quickly received his license–but he didn't jump right in. "I was transitioning out of my job at the bank, so I worked real estate on nights and weekends. But eventually, it felt like I was just holding myself back," Caleb says. "It took a couple of nudges from my mentor and a quick run around my car at a red light on Aspen and the Creek Turnpike to allow my mind to stop holding me back and take the leap of faith that I needed. The rest is history!"
Kindness Above Everything
Caleb Branham is passionate about giving his clients the best experience possible when buying or selling a home. Caleb's real estate career started out uniquely–he began as a "showing agent" for a "rockstar mega agent with Keller Williams." He was closely mentored as a showing agent, building his confidence with buyers. After three or four years, he mastered this side of the real estate business.
"My experience as a showing agent helped me stand out and be more creative with buyer's offers and getting buyers the house they wanted–even when multiple offers were presented. Having started with buyers exclusively has given me an advantage in our current market for that very reason!"
Today, Caleb works with both buyers and sellers as a full-service REALTOR®; he is now a Tulsa area Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty. He is genuinely passionate about helping his clients; he believes his clients are more than transactions. "I have never considered myself a 'sales person' but rather helping to educate the public on our local market. For me, it is important to me to always treat my clients with kindness, respect, and professional courtesy," remarks Caleb. "Kindness above everything."
For Caleb, success in real estate is about providing the best possible service to his clients. "I want to provide a memorable experience so that everyone I come in contact with can see that I am genuinely passionate about helping them with one of the biggest financial transactions of their life!" says Caleb. "I strive to make a lasting impression on every person I meet, from buyers and sellers to co-op real estate agents, lenders, home inspectors, friends, and family of my clients. I truly believe that treating others with kindness is always worth your time–people will remember how kind you were to them."
Working Hard, or Hardly Working?
As you can probably tell, Caleb Branham is a high-energy, social butterfly–at least by day. "And by night," says Caleb, "I'm a homebody." Caleb is a "dog dad" to his three miniature schnauzers and is currently on a bit of a "health kick." When the pandemic hit, Caleb began prioritizing his health, "One thing I've incorporated in my life is gym time! Two years ago, you couldn't catch me in a gym, but now it's my therapy three to four times a week. I'm addicted to spin class!"
Caleb truly loves his job and admittedly does not have a lot of hobbies outside of real estate. "I tend to work a lot, but as corny as it sounds, if you truly love what you're doing and you are passionate about it, then is it really working?" His work ethic is something he learned from his father, whose determination and dedication continue to inspire him in his own business. His colleagues at Keller Williams also inspire Caleb, "They aren't just colleagues, they are family. Some so many amazing individuals have helped sculpt me along the way, and I'm just so grateful."
Of course, he knows that life can't be all work, so he is very intentional about how he structures his time. "From day one, I was taught that if something isn't in my calendar, then it doesn't exist. I truly live by this! Personally and professionally, it ALL goes in my calendar." If a day consists of rubbing his puppies' bellies and checking new listings– "then that's a good day for me," says Caleb.
