A true mark of a leader in any industry is the ability to lift others closer to their goals. That’s a spirit that Mary McGee puts to work each day.

As Jenkins Team Manager with Coldwell Banker Select, Mary provides an undeniable edge for members of the team and their clients—in turn, putting it all together with grace, commitment, and care. Indeed, her impact is felt throughout the team’s operations on a daily basis.

Undeniable Impact

Mary joined the Jenkins Team in August 2019. With a background as a REALTOR® since 2016, she initially met Laurie Jenkins through a client relationship involving Silvercrest Homes and continues in her own personal real estate transactions today as a team Top 5 producer. 

As Laurie began to expand her team to handle increased volume, she recognized the need for someone who could provide comprehensive support. Mary was brought in on a part-time basis to manage transactions, a role that quickly evolved as the team grew.

From the outset, Mary demonstrated a remarkable ability to juggle multiple responsibilities. Her role encompasses sales, coaching and mentoring, operations management, transaction oversight, and marketing. She manages the team’s production, coordinates open houses, and even oversees the photography and branding for their listings. Mary’s knack for detail and organization led her to create a comprehensive handbook of operating procedures, plus numerous lead generation and client management tools, which have become resources for the team.

Laurie’s transition into residential construction and the team’s expansion into home flipping through their new venture, Hammer Time Home Team, have further highlighted Mary’s versatility. She developed the operating agreement for this new business, helped establish LLCs, and ensured that all team members were properly registered. She also created a financial model used for evaluating projects and ensuring budget adherence and profitability. This ability to adapt and support multiple revenue streams is a testament to her dedication and skill.

Always New

One of Mary’s favorite aspects of her job is the variety it offers. “I enjoy that I get to do a bunch of different things. Each day looks totally different,” she explains. 

Managing around 100 transactions each year has given Mary extensive experience and a deep understanding of how to effectively deal with the inevitable “bumps in the road” for the betterment of team clients. Her extensive network and Rolodex of contacts are a lifeline for the team, providing solutions and support when needed.

Mary’s role also involves a significant amount of coaching and mentoring. She recognized early on that many agents needed guidance, whether they were new to the field or simply needed a confidence boost. This nurturing approach has helped many agents, including those like Tiffany Marti, who, with Mary’s support, went on to become the team’s top producer and even launched her own construction company—Lavish Homes

The camaraderie and familial atmosphere of the Jenkins Team are central to Mary’s experience.

“I like being the hub of a group of diverse and great people. We are a family,” Mary says. 

The team’s ability to be real with each other, support one another, and share in both the successes and stresses of the job creates a unique and motivating work environment.

The Gift of Family

Away from work, Mary enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Sean, have been together for 23 years. Their daughter, Audrey, is a junior at the University of Oklahoma, studying to become a dentist, while their son, Jacob, is a senior at Jenks High School. 

The McGee family values their time together, whether traveling, taking day trips, or simply enjoying their home theater and playing Spades.

Mary also finds inspiration in working with women entrepreneurs. Her involvement with team members like Brandy Ford and Tiffany Marti, who have gone on to achieve significant success in their own ventures, reflects her passion for fostering growth and supporting others. 

“I love working with women entrepreneurs and watching them grow their businesses. They inspire me,” Mary says.

Her appreciation for Coldwell Banker Select's supportive and progressive leadership is evident. Having worked at four different brokerages, Mary values the strong systems and leadership at Coldwell Banker Select, which she believes are critical to the team’s success. 

“The leadership here is so strong and progressive. I feel very well supported, and we couldn’t do what we do without them,” she explains.
