The Start of Her Path
Sarah's journey into real estate began quite unexpectedly. After spending 13 years as a full-time mother, Sarah decided it was time to re-enter the workforce. Armed with a degree in public relations from Oklahoma State University, she initially took on a part-time role as the nursery director at her church. It was there, in 2016, that an opportunity arose that would alter her career path. Sarah was offered a position as a receptionist at a local real estate office—a role that ignited a newfound passion for the industry.
"I was just loving it," Sarah recalls. "I would ask the agents if I could edit their photos and home descriptions. My curiosity about real estate grew from there."
Her enthusiasm was palpable, and it didn’t take long for her to make a pivotal decision. After a few months in her receptionist role, she embarked on a journey to obtain her real estate license. Balancing a full-time job, motherhood, and studying late into the night, Sarah’s commitment was clear.
Opening New Doors
By 2017, Sarah had earned her real estate license and began her career as an individual agent. Her initial success was steady, and within a year, she expanded her business, hiring a full-time assistant and a buyer's agent. The year 2020 marked a significant milestone, with Sarah’s team growing to nine agents and the addition of a marketing coordinator.
The cornerstone of Sarah’s success has been her focus on building and nurturing relationships.
“I spend my day interacting with people and seeing how I can help them,” she explains. “The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the smiles on my clients' faces and helping them achieve their goals. I love partnering with them to ensure they get their desired results.”
Her ability to market properties effectively and communicate clearly has been instrumental in her rapid rise within the industry.
Despite her achievements, Sarah felt there was something more she wanted to accomplish. In 2024, she decided to take a bold step: opening her own brokerage. Her vision was to create a space that would bless and provide opportunities for other agents. Thus, Nail Realty Group was born. The brokerage, which serves all of Oklahoma and offers property management services, reflects Sarah’s commitment to creating a supportive and growth-oriented environment for both seasoned and new agents.
“Nail Realty Group is designed to offer a platform for agents of all levels, whether they are individuals or teams,” Sarah says. “I wanted to create an atmosphere of love, support, and development.”
This ethos extends to their property management services, which began when a close friend and out-of-state client entrusted Sarah with managing a property.
“I didn’t know much about property management at the time, but I figured it out quickly,” Sarah recalls. “Now, we manage nearly 50 doors and continue to grow.”
Sarah’s dedication to developing leaders and nurturing potential is evident in her approach to coaching and mentorship.
“I love helping others see their potential and providing them with the resources they need to succeed,” she says.
Her role as a managing broker allows her to invest in her agents, offering guidance and support as they navigate their own careers.
Consistent Excellence
One of the key lessons Sarah has learned on her journey is the importance of consistency.
“Success in real estate doesn’t come from what you do occasionally; it comes from what you do consistently,” she advises.
Her own path has been marked by careful planning, unwavering determination, and a lot of hard work.
Family has been a crucial support system for Sarah. She and her husband, Chad, have been married for 27 years and have two sons, Connor and Creed.
“My family has been incredibly supportive of my career,” she says. “They’ve always been there for me, and their encouragement has been invaluable.”
Sarah also attributes much of her professional success to the mentors and support systems she has encountered along the way.
“Surrounding yourself with people who are better than you and acknowledging those who have helped you is vital,” she notes.
Her team at Nail Realty Group plays a significant role in her growth, offering different perspectives and challenging her to see things in new ways.
Fulfilling Life
When she’s not working, Sarah finds joy in spending time outdoors with her family and friends. A cherished ritual is her Friday night boat cruise, where she and her loved ones take a leisurely trip to watch the sunset.
“It’s a pause in life that helps me reset and refuel for the week ahead,” she says. She also enjoys traveling, grilling out, and savoring bonfires with s’mores.
Ultimately, Sarah’s fulfillment comes from the relationships she has built and the impact she has made. “Helping families and investing in my agents is what drives me,” she reflects. “In this business, our clients trust us with one of the biggest purchases of their lives, and my agents trust me to be a good leader. Real estate has changed my life, and I want to help others experience the same transformation.”
